MOOD FOOD COOKING  is a healthful approach to emotional eating.  

Research shows that with each mood you experience, there is a link to deficiencies within your body of certain vitamins and minerals.  The National Institute of Health's Depression and BiPolar Alliance states that "if your body has the nourishment it needs then your brain can function more effectively".
If your brain is functioning more effectively then you are processing your moods more effectively.
 MOOD FOOD COOKING is all about ingesting foods high in those vitamins and minerals.  
If you are going to emotionally eat anyway - then let it be healthy emotional eating.

 Approximately 8 million people struggle with eating disorders in this country and 86% of them have their onset by age 20.  

 Puberty is a great time to pay attention to what your mood is and how to make the best choices.  Tweens and teens spend a lot of time in their head and I can recall eating crunchy Cheetos out of the bag while trying to sort through feeling inadequate at school.  When the feeling didn't go away, I'd turn to eating ice cream out of the half gallon, roasting marshmallows with a Bic lighter (it doesn't work), pulling apart Oreos to insert my own fillings because double the stuff wasn't doing it for me and eating baked beans on buttered toast before bed (and I'm not English).  Carbs fueled sugar which led to energy (spent on thinking) and fat taking residence.  This led to fatigue and less mental clarity.  Not being able to sort through my thoughts, I would make another food choice that continued the cycle, leaving my body depleted in mood balancing vitamins and minerals. 

How we define each of the moods listed does play a role yet as you get into it, you'll see that some foods cross barriers - just like moods do.
You can feel stressed and depressed as a result, for instance.   You can feel anxious and lonely.  Pay attention to the core feeling and go from there because often we have trouble identifying the true source of our irritability yet after reflection realize we snapped at someone cutting us off on the road yet we are indeed ticked off with our spouse for not coming through with a promise -- can nobody do what they are supposed to do??  MOOD FOOD won't  resolve the challenges yet it will support an inner strength and happy cells to help manage those challenges.
